School announces fall sports MVPs

Grosse Ile High School’s Athletic Department recently announced the Most Valuable Players for the 2021 fall sports season. 

School officials said the Most Valuable Player (MVP) is awarded to a player on a team who has had the largest impact in a positive way on the team on and off the playing field.  

This award is chosen by the team coaches. Winning this award encompasses dedication to the team, putting teammates and coaches first, maximum effort at the player’s position, and contribution to the team being victorious.  

This year’s fall MVPs are: Joey Gall, boys cross country; Anna Malonsongirls cross country; Cecilia Lind, equestrian; Tyler Swick, football; Lily Bargamian, girls golf; Briana Syrocki, sideline cheer; Jimmy Souilliere, sailing; Jonathan Duke, boys soccer; Erika Pietras, girls swimming/diving; Anthony Joly-Naso and Harrison Lee, boys tennis; and Maranda Ferguson, volleyball.  

“Grosse Ile High School is very proud of these student-athletes for their dedication to both academics and their chosen sport,” the Athletic Department said in a press release.
